    About this Challenge

Innovation proves to be a challenge when defining clear and correlating measurements. There is extensive research in the area of innovation measurement, however a lack of or inconsistent numerical, quantifiable metrics.

The International Association of Innovation Professionals (IAOIP) has partnered with Spigit to crowdsource innovation measures via the Innovation Measurement Standard (IMS) Challenge with IAOIP members and the global public to determine the various ways innovation is measured across industries.

The collection of the innovation measures will be used for the development of the IAOIP measurement certification, and then shared with ISO in an attempt to make them a part of standards included in ISO 50500/TC 279.

The standards, once developed, will allow organizations to draw best practices in Innovation Management. They will guide the development of capabilities to innovate, and bring innovations successfully to market.

The first set of standards is to be released in December 2018, followed by the remaining four sets in 2019 and 2020.

The Innovation Measurement Challenge will include several phases, please visit the How it Works page to learn more and ensure to understand the House Rules (Terms & Conditions) of the Challenge.
