Please explain how the measure is used with a specific exampleInnovation comes from people. Thus, we believe that it is essential to measure the innovation skills and aptitudes in a company's workforce. Talent eats process, culture and structure, for breakfast!
There may be other models of innovation talent, but we use the attached framework of 8 skills. These are the skills that our research found are highly correlated with business results from innovation (such as profitability, hyper-growth, global expansion, acquisition and IPO).
Our research shows that companies with a high incidence of innovation skills grow faster than those with a low incidence of innovation skills (see attached example of a slow- vs fast-growing company).
Benefits of measuring innovation skills include: the ability to hire more innovative people, retain and promote them, and form stronger innovation teams; the ability to predict a company's chances of achieving its growth targets and surpassing its peers.
